ECollectif
Access to reliable energy is a key lever for strengthening the resilience of health systems and improving the quality of care. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, particularly in Kinshasa, access to electricity remains limited in both urban and rural areas. This reality directly affects the ability of health facilities to provide safe, continuous, and effective services.
To address this challenge, Santé Monde partnered with Quebec-based company Ecosolaris to implement the ECollectif project. With financial support from the Government of Quebec and in collaboration with the Provincial Health Division of Kinshasa, this initiative aims to equip health facilities with autonomous and sustainable solar solutions tailored to local needs, while promoting capacity building to ensure ownership and sustainability of the infrastructure.
This innovative partnership illustrates how the integration of green technologies can tangibly transform working conditions for healthcare personnel and improve the patient experience.
